Sony F3 camera + Angenieux Glass = Image Heaven

Kinopicz has recently moved all top-end productions to the Sony F3 Super35mm HD camera.

The F3 has incredible dynamic range, allowing us to capture light and shadow with unprecedented detail and feeling. And the full 1920x1080 HD raster is producing the most film-like images we've seen in HD video – truly realistic color and clarity.

During two weeks of shooting in Washington DC for the biennial Solar Decathlon, we put this rig through its paces with handheld, steadicam, dolly, and driving shots while using a combination of Zeiss CP.2 primes and a super-wide Duclos 11-16mm zoom.

Last week we got our hands on a pair of brand new Angeniuex Optimo DP zoom lenses – probably the finest optics we've used. The French know how to make killer glass as well as killer films.
