Buildipedia Solar Decathlon

The US Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon invites teams of college and university students to design, build, and operate houses that are environmentally sustainable, affordable, and attractive. As part of Buildipedia.com’s coverage of Solar Decathlon 2011, Kinopicz filmed and produced this short documentary about Appalachian State University’s entry, Solar Homestead.

We took this from script to screen in less than one week to generate publicity in a timely way for Appalachian State University's concern over a proposed change of venue for Solar Decathlon 2011. They hoped to bring attention to and arouse grassroots support for their cause and we responded with all urgency.
